Zeitgeist is pleased to announce three new bodies of work from three artists who will all open ensembles the evening of October 11th. New work will be rotated through the month of December and each artist featured with a reception.
Megan Lightell has titled her latest body of paintings, A Sense of Place which evoke the terrain of middle Tennessee and the Ohio Valley in subtle landscapes. She is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York and has work in the permanent collections of Martha Ingram, The Turner Family Collection, and Ritz Carleton Hotels. Her work was also recently featured in Southern Living and Architectural Digest.
Reception for the artist: October 11, 6-8PM
Christie Nuell is the printmaking professor at Middle Tennessee State University. She will be showing laser engraved panels featuring floral elements and Victorian-era architecture that combine the idea of traditional print-making with mono-type treatments and even a video and sound element.
Reception for the artist: November 6, 6-8PM
Jee Yun Lee is a New York City based printmaker who also incorporates printmaking techniques in her one of a kind paintings and watercolors. Her latest work is titled Microcosm/ Oceanography in which large scrolls featuring delicate florals rendered in water color and Sumi ink are contrasted with small oceanscapes on paper referencing Monet’s haystacks.
